STATE HIGHWAY 57 starts at milemarker '0' in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
State Highway 57 is one of the first hard paved Highways in the world.
In 1912 Thomas Edison used concrete manufactured in his New Village,
New Jersey facility to create this engineering landmark. Route 57 travels
22 miles to Route 46 in Hackettstown, New Jersey. On the way to
Hackettstown, Route 57 passes fourteen quaint towns. ( Listed below )
There's a rural feeling in this part of New Jersey with rows of corn on both
sides of the highway. Farm supply stores are just down the road from the
