EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE Errors and omissions exempted.

My Employment experiences since 1969 have made me a better person. Some jobs were taken with the intention of training for my career in Marketing. A very good way to learn is by doing. Some jobs were taken because they paid well and they helped put aside savings for other goals.

While attending High School and College, there was
The Nitty Gritty of SUMMER EMPLOYMENT

1978 After Graduation from Radford College I started working for Channel Home Center, Phillipsburg, NJ. Although minimum wage was $3.35 per hour, Channel paid less by claiming underpaid people were being paid "salary". Economic conditions in 1978 were bleak with mortgage interest rates at around 18%. Although I tried to use my Real Estate License, the time was wasted because of high interest rates.

Fast Food experiences. Title: McNormal's: Another Last Food Restaurant

1989 & 1990 I was bit by the Political Bug. At the age or 34 years, finally realized there were no politicians who were in office for the improvement and well being of the mass population of the United States of America.
1990 Campaigning as a Democrat, I travelled around New Jersey and collected 1,040 Signatures on my petitions so I could run against United States Senator Bill Bradley in the June 1990 Democrat Primary. I received approximately 13 percent of the democrat vote.
1990 - 1993 Mostly unemployed, I learned first hand what happens to individuals without influence who speak out against the Oligarchy of major corporations that control the United States of America.

RADFORD COLLEGE BACK TO TOP

Radford College changed it's name to Radford University. Radford University is a Business, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Teacher's school. Located in the 'Virginia Highlands' in Southwest Virginia, this educational experience gave me an opportunity to study General Business with an emphasis on Marketing and Management Practices. At Radford College, I was fortunate to study Advertising Copy & Layout with a professor who had experience with national advertising campaigns, the infamous Bing Stewart A.K.A. ' The Parker Pen Boy '.
At Radford College, there were many opportunities. I was involved with extra-curricular activitiy as Year Book Photographer and Photography Editor. I helped organise a Photography Club, a Soccer Club that went on to become an intercollegiate team and a Ski Club. I graduated from Radford College in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business.

Nelson School of Real Estate BACK TO TOP

During Summer break from Radford College, in 1975, I attended Real Estate School and obtained a New Jersey Real Estate License.

Trenton State College BACK TO TOP

Three years after Graduation from Radford College, I decided to return to college and obtain an additional degree in Computer Science. Trenton State College's new name is The College of New Jersey. This school is in my home town and in 1981 the New Jersey Department of Education had an advanced IBM 360/370 series computer located at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Building on the FORTRAN training received at Radford College, I studied Assembler language. Assembler is a low level programming language that is a building block to most other programming languages. At Trenton State College I also studied Job Control Language. JCL was a powerful tool that made it possible interlink computers in different locations. Although I lacked financing to complete the Computer Science Degree at Trenton State College, I learned enough about programming to quickly pick up other programming languages.

Other Computer training... BACK TO TOP

From 1982 through 1986 I repeatedly enrolled in computer classes with the objective of getting employed in the computer field. It seemed, every time I enrolled in another class, either the second semester of that class was canceled or the computer language the class was based on became obsolete before the class was completed. PL/1, BASIC, COBOL, FORTRAN, ASSEMBLER, JOB CONTROL LANGUAGE. I laid off computer programming for a while after
COBOL died.
